What is an Interim Service?

Our Interim Service is “usually” a 40 point service which we recommended every 6 months for high-mileage vehicles, or if more frequent checks are required by your vehicle’s manufacturer. (For manufacturer’s details please enlist our help or refer to your Vehicle’s Handbook).

What’s included in a Interim Service?

Our 40 point Interim Service is designed to focus on the main points that tend to need regular servicing when your vehicle is in continual use. Our 69 point Full Service is designed to focus upon annual maintenance which includes parts and oil that are advised to be changed yearly. This service helps keep your vehicle running smoothly as possible. This is our No. 1 service, which most of our customers use.

Major Service Package

What is a Major Service?

This is our most extreme comprehensive Vehicle Service Package. With 71 points the Major Service is designed to cover parts that require regular changing every two years. (For manufacturer’s details please enlist our help or refer to your Vehicle’s Handbook).

Reasons why I should choose a Major Service?

Auto Edge Ltd. advises you to choose our Major Service Package if there has been no servicing carried out on your vehicle for two years (24 months) or if you wish to ensure all components within your vehicle are working safely and efficiently.

What’s included in a Major Service?

Our 71 point Major Service Package is to designed to check all components within your vehicle. Additionally when you choose our Major Service Package, the following items are replaced/ re-filled, free of charge;
  • Brake Fluid.
  • Air Filter.
  • Spark Plugs.
  • External Fuel Filter.

  • When should I have my Vehicle Serviced?
    It is up to you. It is your choice. It is your vehicle. You decide. We at Auto Edge Ltd. like to be ‘straight up’ and honest with all of our customers. We can only advise. Here are some key factors you should consider:

    • Are you a high mileage motorist (driver)?
    • Do you use your vehicle for business or pleasure or both?
    • What kind of driver are you?
    • How far is your average journey?

    We advise that every vehicle receives a Full Service every 12 months or every 10,000 miles (whichever occurs first). If you use your vehicle for longer journeys (whether be it business, pleasure or both) and the mileage is much higher than 10,000 miles before the 12 month period; then it may be a good idea to have an Interim Service every 6 months or 6,000 miles to supplement the Full Service.
  • What is included in the Vehicle Services Packages?
    It's dependant upon your vehicle’s make (manufacturer), model, year of registration and the Vehicle Service Package you request. Why can’t we be specific? Each and every vehicle is different. Therefore, services differ from vehicle to vehicle.

    To help ensure your vehicle receives the right service Auto Edge Ltd. use a vehicle database. This database provides our mechanic with your vehicle’s manufacturer technical data, which details your recommended schedule and service criteria.

    All of these details are obtained from your vehicle’s registration number or VIN number.

    Yes! Auto Edge Ltd. continually strives to source the best parts from our suppliers. Auto Edge Ltd. recognise budgets are important. Once we have diagnosed which parts need replacing; we’ll contact you with the various options available. Such as bellow:

    Yes! Auto Edge Ltd. endeavour to source the best oils possible from our suppliers. There are two ‘main’ choices of oils. This being Fully Synthetic or Semi-Synthetic. We leave this decision to our customers and will contact you with the various options available.
